Session 1: Creating Career Opportunities Using a Cultural Belonging Mindset

It’s undeniable that key career advancement opportunities are a critical component of workplace culture. This session will focus on how any-size BSC can implement career pathing programs that will give employees the training, knowledge, and skills needed to climb the rungs of their individual career ladder. Attendees will be inspired with ideas they can utilize to create a clear career development plan for their team members through a culturally collaborative mindset.
Session 2: Mergers and Acquisitions – The Human Resources Edition!

How do you address different workplace dynamics and integration with a new team from an HR perspective? During this session, BSCs will get all they need to know about working through HR challenges that may arise during mergers and acquisitions, including workplace culture, employee demographics, and communication lines. Attendees will take home the insights they need to make their HR due diligence checklist for keeping human resource needs in mind during mergers and acquisitions.
Session 3: Immigration and I-9 Compliance – What You Need to Know
Presented by: Daniel N. Ramirez, Partner, Monty & Ramirez LLP
This presentation includes an overview of immigration laws with an emphasis on Form I-9 and ICE's Worksite Enforcement. Attendees will learn Form I-9 Compliance Fundamentals including: a review of the recent changes and procedures for Sections 1, 2, and 3, how to address error correction, and how to handle missing forms. Attendees will also learn best practices regarding Form I-9 related discrimination and ICE's Best Employment Practices.
Session 4: Get Workers to “Give a Thumbs Up” to Working for Your Business

Session 5: The “Don’t Quit Us” Data Deep-Dive

No one wants to have to identify with the phrase “people don’t quit their jobs, they quit their managers.” Every company wants supervisors that receive high ratings from their employees, but how do you track these metrics AND improve them? This session will explore how you can look at supervisor impact on retention rates through data, how to develop employee satisfaction surveys for comprehensive results and next steps, and how you can identify areas of improvement for your supervisors that will in turn positively impact employee retention rates.
